By Kate from upstate NY on 08/24/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Quality Material Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I haven't worn these yet, other than to try them on, but I think they'll be great. It's hard for me to find jeans that fit -- usually if they fit in the hips, they're huge in the waist. Not a problem with these Carhartts; they're actually made for women with hips. I'm almost 5'6", about 115 pounds or so (with roughly a 28" waist and 38" hips), and the size 4 jeans fit well. The length (30") will be fine as long as these jeans do not shrink. (I always wash my jeans in cold water and never put them in the dryer, so I'm hoping these will stay just the way they are.) They're a little baggier than what I usually wear -- I typically need a slim-fit jean -- but I think these still look fine and should be good for casual use and yard work. (Good sturdy material.) I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because I haven't really tested the jeans yet and because they'd be better with another half-inch of length (for me, anyway).
