I would recommend them (in suede because it is soft and doesn't rub) if you need a pair of supportive house or work shoes. (I work in Norway, and we wear "comfort sandals" in our workplace!) As a former runner with very delicate foot bones, I wear comfort sandals unless I absolutely must wear a pair of shoes or boots. Birkenstock Arizona has saved my feet! Oh, one comment... the sizing is a bit generous. I wear the 35's (US 4-4.5), but my typical shoe size is a US 5.5 or 6.
