These shoes do not "run large;" they are mis-sized. I've had 3 pair of Birkenstocks and I know I wear 41, and these aren't close. I think they'd fit my son who wears an 11! I'm returning instead of exchanging because I have no idea whether the problem is common to the whole lot or just this pair. Really disappointed.

Since breaking a small bone in my foot, my doctor recommended wearing only tennis shoes since the box of the shoe was larger. Due to the hot weather in summer wearing shoes all the time was not comfortable. So a friend recommended Birkies and then another friend commented how happy they were with their birkies so I took the recommendations and I a very satisified customer.

I bought these sandle for my Girlfriend. I was told by many, that after beaking Birkenstock sandles in, that the would be the most comfortable sandle/(shoe), and that they last for a long time. We find this to be very true. I also bought me a pair of Birkenstock (Mens). We are Very Happy with this brand of sandles and we are sold on them.
